Membership Guidelines

Membership is open to all who support the objectives and ideals of the KAPD. Both individuals and organizations are eligible for membership. Membership categories are:

■ Full membership is open to

- all scholars who are instructors or researchers on the public diplomacy related subjects in the universities or institutions.
- all with Ph.D. on the public diplomacy related subjects.
- all practitioners or policymakers who work in the public diplomacy related fields with more than 3 years of experience.

■ General membership is open to

- graduate students in public diplomacy related majors or researchers with relevant qualifications.
- all practitioners or volunteers who work in the public diplomacy related fields with less than 3 years of experience.

■ Honorary membership accorded to

- those recognized by the KAPD for their lifetime achievements approved by the board of directors.
- those who are the presidents or directors of the public diplomacy related institutions

■ Organizational membership is open to

- Universities or libraries (Free of Membership Fees) or public or private organizations that support the activities on public diplomacy same as the objectives of the KAPD.

※ Membership starts on the day of payment.

Member Rights

■ The full & honorary member have the right to

- participate in all programs and join the Executive committee and vote in the General Assembly Meeting.
- receive (Journal of Public Diplomacy) (twice a year in Korean and English), newsletters, programs of events through on-line.
- purchase the published documents produced by the KAPD.

■ The general member has the right to

- be qualified to participate in conferences and research programs.
- receive (Journal of Public Diplomacy) (twice a year in Korean and English), newsletters, programs of events through on-line.
- purchase the published documents produced by the KAPD.

■ Institutional membership has the right to

- get the full or general membership for individual members.
- receive (Journal of Public Diplomacy) (twice a year in Korean and English), newsletters, programs of events through on-line.
- purchase the published documents produced by the KAPD.

Guidance on membership fees

Annual Membership Fees

Members are allowed to participate in various research programs. Members get newsletters of the KAPD and the resources of the thesis, symposiums, and conferences, and newsletters through on-line. Furthermore, members are allowed to get access to and download documents from the KAPD homepage. Thank you for your participation.
